Blended Online Youth MHFA March

Completing Blended Online Youth Mental Health First Aid will contribute 10 hours and 30 minutes of NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Accredited PD in the priority area of Student/child mental health addressing standard descriptors 4.1.2, 4.4.2, 7.3.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.

There are two components to this blended learning program. 

Component 1- e-Learning.  Participants must complete this e-learning through MHFA Australia before completing Component 2 of the program with us. Please purchase Component 1, eLearning access directly through MHFA Australia, at https://mhfa.com.au/courses/elearning/69817. 

Participants can still register their place in this course whilst working through eLearning.

Course Component 2- An instructor-led component with BLLC, delivered as  3 x 2.5-hour sessions. This is the session you're assessing here.

Component 2 provides course participants with an opportunity to revise content covered in the self-paced eLearning program and to consolidate the application of this content with the development of practical skills in a group environment online.

Course Component 2 provides participants with the opportunity to:

Revise the eLearning content and the MHFA Action Plan

Clarify any points of uncertainty remaining after completion of the eLearning modules

Apply the MHFA Action Plan to relevant scenarios

Discuss and reflect 'a where to from now' in using mental health first aid skills

Develop a self-care plan to maintain good mental health.

Once registered for Component 2, a Zoom link will be sent out one week out from the training date, keep an eye out for it!

Participants must complete all 3 sessions ( along with the previously completed eLearning component), in order to meet the requirements for  CPD allocation and MHFA accreditation.
