About the event

Youth Mental Health First Aid is a nationally recognised course that equips adults who teach, care for, or support young people with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to recognise, understand and respond to a young person experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis.

We LOVE this program. Practical and clear for both professionals working with adolescents and carers (12-26 years).

Delivered by our Director, Alena Farrugia, who is also National Consultant Trainer of Youth, Standard and Teen Programs at Mental Health First Aid, you're in experienced hands. Learn more about Alena here.

NSW Teacher? How does 14 hours of NESA Registered training sound? As a registered provider, make sure to add your NESA number to the booking, and we'll have that added to your log.

Important info:

  • Tea & coffee in-house, and we have two amazing cafes next to us, so you're covered for caffeine and food with a stunning city view
  • Street parking is available, with all-day free parking behind us on Alfred St
  • Accessible training space and bathrooms

What to bring:

  • Pen and notebook, we'll supply all learning materials. There is no need for any pertaining work
  • A sense of humour and enthusiasm
  • Lunch if you don't intend on purchasing from the attached cafes

Our education programs should not be viewed as therapy sessions. We will not discuss individual cases. All participants should be feeling positive and mentally fit. We speak openly and directly about mental illnesses and crises such as non-suicidal self-injury and suicide.
