Online Standard MHFA Refresher -April

Renew your accreditation as a Standard Mental Health First Aider with the latest research in the mental health field, work through complex mental health first aid interactions, and practice their mental health first aid skills across various mental health problems and mental health crises.

Session Times

9 am- 1 pm

Break mid-session

On completion of the course, participants are asked to complete a short open-book online exam of approximately 15 questions. Upon passing, participants will receive their Mental Health First Aiders Certificate, which is valid for another 3-year period. After this, participants will be required to attend a full 2-day session, as 6 years will have passed from their original training date.

Participants must attend full sessions to meet CPD  and MHFA accreditation requirements.

No pre-learning is required, but looking through your existing MHFA manual definitely won't hurt.  This course is for those looking to renew their MHFA accreditation only. If you have not previously completed your MHFA accreditation or it has been over three years since you were accredited, please enrol in one of our full MHFA Standard programs.

A note about online delivery.

-The Instructor-led virtual sessions are live meetings conducted over the Internet using video conferencing software. You will receive the Zoom link via email one week before your session.

-As a participant, you will need a quiet location with privacy.

-You can attend via your computer or tablet as you will need to be able to read the screen easily. The Instructor needs to be able to see and hear you for you to participate in the training; therefore, access to a camera and a microphone for the duration of the session is mandatory.

-No refund for no-shows, early departures or participant issues will be issued. 

- A reminder that this session is not group therapy or a space for personal disclosure. We will be covering topics such as suicide and non-suicidal self-injury. Participants should be feeling mentally fit and positive whilst participating. 

-Min number required to run. If minimum numbers are not met, a transfer to an alternate program or a full refund will be issued via the received payment channel.
